Adjustable Induction Ball Valve – Approx. 1–3%
This adjustable induction ball valve is designed for use with fire hose reel induction systems to help control the amount of additive drawn into the water stream.
The valve can be adjusted through a 0–90° operating range, allowing the induction rate to be varied up to approximately 3%, depending on the system configuration, water flow and additive being used.
At the 90° position, the valve is intended to provide approximately a 3% induction rate under suitable operating conditions. The relationship between valve position and induction percentage is not necessarily linear; for example, a 45° valve position should not be assumed to provide exactly 1.5%.
Actual induction rates can vary when using different agents, including F-500 EA, foam and eco-foam, as each product may have different viscosity, density and flow characteristics.
Important: Induction percentages are approximate. Where a specific concentration is required, the complete system should be flow-tested and calibrated using the actual additive and operating conditions.
